Our Staff MacKenzie Smith, MS CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
MacKenzie graduated with her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Midwestern University in Glendale Heights, IL, in 2021. Since then, MacKenzie has provided travelling home therapy in the greater Chicagoland area, with clinical experience in the areas of articulation/phonology, fluency, autism, augmentative and alternative communication(AAC), early language, and social skills. MacKenzie is passionate about providing family-centered and neurodiversity-affirming interventions to children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. She utilizes play-based interventions to ensure that therapy is motivating, functional, and generalizable to life outside of the therapy room. MacKenzie has her certificate of clinical competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and is a current member in the Oregon Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Her favorite aspect of being an SLP is watching clients meet their full potential as they gain the confidence to share their needs, thoughts, and personalities with the world. Outside of work, MacKenzie loves trying new restaurants, playing tennis, listening to true crime podcasts, and going on hikes.
