Our Staff Katie Main, MA, CCC-SLP
Katie has been working in the field of speech-language pathology since 2007. Most of her career has been spent in the medical therapy setting with children birth through high school. Katie completed her master’s degree at Washington State University and bachelor’s degree at Western Washington University. She has her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has extensive training as a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist in Auditory Verbal Therapy. Katie works closely her with the patients, audiologists, ENT’s, and other professionals to ensure the best possible therapy for each patient’s unique issues. Although she focuses her continuing education on teaching children with hearing loss, she has extensive training and serves a variety of children with other communication disorders and delays. She was recently trained in Orofacial Myology (e.g., tongue thrust, tongue tie, etc.). Katie is also experienced in communicating with sign language (American Sign Language (ASL) and Signed Exact English (SEE)). She sits on the board for Hands and Voices which is a non-profit, parent-driven organization dedicated to supporting families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Katie lives an active life in Salem Oregon with her family.
